The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service Southern NSW was the first of its kind, established in 1973. Today, it operates out of Sydney and Moruya, working hand in hand with Surf Life Saving Australia to perform critical missions, including search and rescues, flood evacuations, and providing assistance during coastal emergencies.

Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Northern NSW
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service was established in 1975 and is a world-class 24-7 aeromedical operation, with three helicopters operating from bases in Newcastle, Tamworth and Lismore. Missions include transferring critically ill patients to hospital, responding to regional emergencies and coastal search and rescue.
